How do you but multiple days in one chart?
Hi Jmmm, I believe that you just have to extend the data down for each column. Steve=True

@Jin Min So glad you could get it to work. It can be tricky. Steve=True
I need to create an hourly chart, it doesn’t seem to work as expected even if I have a date with the time, it still groups everything by date. Can you help?
Hi Dmitry, I would love to help. Please leave me a comment on my website and then I can email you directly as I would need your current spreadsheet to troubleshoot.
why is date a requirement :@, trying to present max and min value of sample, back to google. Also this video was tedious! show solution first then the explanation.
Not sure why Excel requires a date. Sorry the video wasn’t what you were looking for. Thanks for the comment. Steve=True
@exceldashboards
Ended up using matlab; presents numerical data clearer anyway. Thanks for the video anyway.
You can always change the date to be any value you want (including text) after you create the chart
Thank you been trying to create one for a few days finally stumbled on your video.
Thank you for going over all the different variations. Very useful stuff.

@Роман Андреевич You are welcome. Thanks for the great comment.
Does this mean I can create a high-low-close chart for only one stock at a time?
I want to chart the high-low-current value for several stocks over the past six months.
I just need a single candlestick for each stock.
Okay, I figured out how to do it, based on Adam Burgh’s reply to woolerland.
I created the data set with dates, then I replaced the dates with the stock symbols.
Microsoft needs to fix this, and just allow text values in the first place.
6Minutes for that !!!! Damn, why you just did not give the answer ! thats a good initiative what you’ve done, but seriously, too long
I had been using MarketXLS and it’s great.
+delfinoharrison Thanks.

Thanks Carlos.
Thanks Bro, 5 years has passed since you did this video and it still functional.
That is awesome. Excel has definitely passed the test of time.
How to get data for every 5 min
Hi Rahul, I would recommend you get a software that does it and exports it. Alternately, you could spend time and find an API to get the data and do that through VBA. This will take some work and setup. Thus may be better to get the data from other systems.
Values of forex candles, Gbpusd
Price Open High Low Close
2019.08.23 1.22526 1.22933 1.21943 1.22836
2019.08.26 1.22649 1.22858 1.22081 1.22180
But excel would not recognize numbers, because they are uneven. How could it be fixed?
Thanks
