Absolutely crazy to see Vitalik there years ago with his notoriety as being the writer for Bitcoin magazine and not the now billionaire founder of Ethereum😂
@MASTER nobody Bitcoin was never a scam lol, get your facts straight
@MASTER nobody 😂😂😂
@Bewildered Bodhisattva A year later…
I’d like to hear some thoughts on the successful implementation of the London Hard Fork? Ethereum is nearly deflationary at this point in time and has over 145 billion of TV Locked for the future implementation of Eth2…
These two new developments alone should outright prove the legitimacy, in regards to ethereum having even the slightest possibility of being a scam…
@TheyAreWhoWeThoughtTheyWere Nobody knows what the future of crypto holds. If you want to believe Ethereum has value, then buy Ethereum. Ethereum has no real utility at the moment and the value is heavily inflated compared to Bitcoin. Just my opinion.
It is absolutely CRAZY that we, as a society, accept the oversight of criminal banksters over what SHOULD be a FREE MARKET.
um why not both?
When the narrative is controlled by criminals, the population is made to look like we all except it.
@D R wake the hell up lil man this is life
@D R Fantastic point!
There is no such thing as a “free market.” All modern markets are fictitious entities that are created and governed by institutions.
Thank you for this doc. I really wished i jumped in 10 years ago. Debating on jumping in now while economy is shaky. It helps with my decison.
@Weaknee Rose You change my life hackerMarlian on telegram am so grateful for the 4btc .🙏💯
@Bitcoin Motorist yea the first few were enough for me
If the economy is shaky why jump in? If you saw evidence that earthquakes are increasing in certain parts of California would you buy real estate in those parts? Of course not!
@Antonio Daniel Because the value of the dollar is diminishing. Missed the wave. A small investment wouldn’t hurt.
@CALIFORNIA REBEL I sold at 50 jumping back in when it falls to the 30s
I dont understand bitcoin but I am obsessed with it. This doc is eye opening
He spent 2700 Bitcoins on a Bitcoin mining system in 2012. 2700 Bitcoins today would be worth $61,335,360.00. That was one expensive home computer.
But if he mined 10,000+ bitcoins it was worth it!
This is true, but keep in mind that if he (and all others) did not spend those Bitcoins at their present time, bitcoin would not be where it is today.
I respect all those early pioneers who brought bitcoin to life. Thanks for the fight for freedom from the central system.
Bitcojn 70 percent owned by China mined under 3 gorges dam but you wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped u. Dumbass
@Luis Dejesus Everyone in crypto know China WAS a large miner. Also know about the ban there. Can you give some references to your bulls**t it created by George Soros cia blah blah…f**king idiot. Then who owns other crypto?
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO IS READY FOR GASOLINE FUELED GRAPHICS CARDS?
@DOOMJESUS You’re such a troll🥴gtfo of the comments. Have fun with 7% inflation peabrain
@Derek WHAT WOULD BE WRONG WITH THAT, SMART GUY?
They should make a part 2 of this documentary titled “We Told You So!” or “Laughing All The Way To The Bank”
@Derek you tried so hard.. and even liked your own comment, what a loser.
We will get our laugh too 🤪🥊 will we 🤔
@Fiffe I love these comments 🤪🥊
The rise and rise… and rise of bitcoin
Crypto is an example of what happens when people have blind faith in computers. We’re a step away from true centralization.
everytime i watch this i get more value out of it.
Watching these guys stress about bitcoin dropping from $250 to $125 is hilarious in retrospect. Makes me wonder why we even bother stressing about the dips today.
@stenobro are you in cold sweats smashing the buy button now?
Haha. Bitcoin Jesus just spilled the weakness. “Short of shutting down the internet in the entire world, there is no way to stop bitcoin.” Ya’ll be foolish to think that couldn’t happen. By the way, Bitcoin Jesus sounds like a bad used car salesman.
@gggnumber1 sounds like a risk I’m DEFINITELY willing to take.. then again I’m in the business of making money not preaching agendas or ideologies. There is a lot of money to be made in the space. There is way too much money to be made before anything like that becomes remotely possible. Governments and whales alike know this. Do you own stocks? Stock in Google or Facebook for example? Non tangible. Essentially the same thing.
@Eli Gundersen yup
@DOOMJESUS somebody else would buy them?
This is so beautiful, before the hype, before all the twitter wars and youtube FUD. The “nerds” who actually know what tf they’re talking about starting yet another digital revolution.
I think one is naive. Most people will never understand the logic, and illogic, of bitcoins (BCs). But some criminals and wealthy folks early on understood the game and made money. Going forward many others will give pause because BC value recently went south (so to say). If one invests they should be able to take the highs and lows; yet it’s clear to me, ME, the BC business eventually will have come and gone. And many will loose their investment.
@Kevin Boone You dont even know the correct abbreviation for bitcoin (BTC) do more research if you think this is something that will just go away
I watched this documentary in 2014. Therefore, i was trying to buy bitcoins. However it was so difficult to buy at that time, therefore, i gave up to buy that bitcoins.
When I was thirteen I was addicted to ASIC miners, but I was thirteen and they were $3,000.
“WE ARE A COMPANY WITH NO BOSS” I love that mentality and quote…. It’s awesome that eventually we are going to kill big banks with de fi and crypto…. Cheers to the innovators and minds behind this movement!
I always used to wonder what I would do if I could go back in time. This video figured it out for me. I used to think maybe I would invent something or invest in material items but who needs all that work? Really this is just such a fascinating thing. Kudos to those who had the foresight and understanding to get in on this early granted the stress levels had to be off the charts. Now I just figure diversify 10% in with hope and prayer lol.
sums up wht i wanted to say
It’s still early!
Back then, even if you were in early, if you didn’t know to hold on through the massive drops, I feel like it would be super rare for the average investor to do just that.
@Samuel Rathbun Barber say so, lol,,,sure
I bought my first bitcoin at $102 in April of 2013. It “tanked” shortly after. I sold 2 bitcoin at $120.
Hindsight is 20-20 I guess.
Wonderful, yes for a part 2 and 3 at this point
1:25:51 I would love to know what this gentleman’s thoughts are, being that we are approaching the 10 year mark.
OMG looking at the release date of this documentary and thinking of how much is bitcoin now! Makes me wish I’d watched this back then.
We’re still early. Buy buy buy
I am with you Daniel… Had I known about Bitcoin I might have bought some in 2013. Even better though is I would have started 7 years sooner on climbing the education process and getting my head around it.
Never fear your going to have your chance to get in. If they need a commercial that tells you something.
You know a documentary is dated when the most famous person in it isn’t even given more than 5 minutes.
After seeing the Canadian truckers debacle and the govts response to freezing bank accounts, Bitcoin is a god send.
