Any websites, blogs, apps, or anything else where my son (19) and myself (40) can find information a good investment club or genuine training where we can get with like-minded individuals to organize and educate ourselves more. I really want my son to take advantage of compound interest and investing early in his life.

What would be the best index or mutual funds, if you wanted to invest in the tech sector, such as ,alphabet, tesla etc

    1. Griff Investing says:
      March 11, 2020 at 11:27 am

DjBoston Bak3d I would look at XLK, SMH, VGT, SNSR. SNSR is actually an IoT ETF, but I think it’s a good one to look at. IoT market is going to be expanding rapidly over the next 5 years or so.

Great stuff thanks for vid, I’m new @ this so hope u can answer some questions, average S P return since inaugurated I think is 8%, if one yr is negative n u have bout 10k does that mean that you could loose money that year? Of course if next is positive u gain, is that how it works? I see some years have been negative, how u figure out your returns or losses?

    1. Griff Investing says:
      May 25, 2020 at 11:14 am

Thanks for checking out the video! Yeah, there are some years where the SP500 could be negative, so technically the value of your investment would be lower. But over a longer period of time (10, 20, 30 years) the average return, like you said, historically is about 8%. That’s why it’s important to keep the investment for a long period of time.

Btw, I’ve just googled Charlotte Rose Rice. WOW! she has good qualifications, I wrote her on her webpage and I’m waiting on her reply. I’m excited to get started and see how far i go in 5-10 years time. Thanks again
