Sir I m invested in both these funds,,,,, if I continue these funds for long term,,,, is it wrong?? Or I should keep rely only on one fund

    1. Sanjoy Talks says:
      September 11, 2020 at 10:33 am

Ok. then answer one simple question Why you have invested in both? at that time what was your Logic behind the investment. Let me know that first.

    2. SUMAN KUNDU says:
      September 11, 2020 at 10:41 am

@Sanjoy Talks sir I invested 25k in nasdaq when it was at the level of 7550,,, basically I believe in index investing, planing to invest lumsums in each correction levels,,,, so to mitigate the risk reward I am also invested in s&p 500 maintaing the same strategy or rebalancing with nifty and nifty next 50,,,,,,
The main logic is that believe in the index, invest in each fall with lumsum,, rebalance the all asset classes and keep invested for long term atleast 20 years,,,,
I m sure after 20 years nifty, Nasdaq, s&p all index will gain a different image

    3. Sanjoy Talks says:
      September 11, 2020 at 10:47 am

@SUMAN KUNDU very good. Then tell me your Logic behind the investment of S&P500 is still holds today right? as you only told in your answer. Then why to change. I think You answered your own question. Sometime we need to relax and invest and keep it simple.

What about China focused mf ? I have already started Nasdaq 100 mf after your video. My son is 8 years old, so how much amount to invest for education purpose ? Please guide! Thank u!

    1. Sanjoy Talks says:
      September 12, 2020 at 1:20 am

first decide how much amount you need for your childs higher education. then use any sip calculator to find the sip needed for that. calculator you will get in internet. how much amount for education depends on person to person. some may need 10Lakh Rs for education some may need 50Lakh. it depends on lifestyle and income also.

china focused fund i personally do not prefer as return and risk adjustment is not so great for those funds.

I like your explanation.. I want to ask u question.. why there are very less global mutual funds?
I am interested in NASDAQ MF. I am also investing in NIFTY index fund. So for 20 years which fund will give me better returns?

    1. Sanjoy Talks says:
      September 13, 2020 at 12:17 pm

India in equity segment and mutual fund industry still growing – hence you will see more global funds , different tyoes of funds in coming days when as a industry it grows. Think befire 5 years we have very less amount of funds and now it has increased. Overall awarness among people will drive more and more AMC to come and offer new products.your two index funds are good. US and India have different things. we as an Indian know India growth story will drive Nifty50. Return wise next 20 years is different story. if forex doller rupee equation changes Nasdaq100 return you may see more , but that does not mean Indian company not growing. So you have good indexes keep you sip going .

Hi bro, i’m very new to MF. I don’t know anything about MF. I’ve started an SIP 3000/month on s&p 500 thinking that its holdings are good. Will it be good if i continue with this for next 5 years ? Please let me know, as i’ve no idea about it.

    1. Sanjoy Talks says:

Yes it will be ok for SIP. but as a starting investor first invest in domestic MF and avoid international funds at first.

From 2000-2010 Nasdaq fell hard. That time value, small, emerging markets were doing well.

From 2010-2020 Nasdaq did well, as growth, large, tech, American were trending.

Those who were better diversified may not hit the jackpot, but didn’t loose heavily in both decades.

This is the reason I prefer S&P 500 over Nasdaq 100.
